Visitor verdict
The published 2026 programme described two distinct phases. Saturday 26 September was scheduled for opening and stage events at Ikebukuro West Exit Park, with items from 13:00 to 19:20. Sunday 27 September focused on mikoshi in the published plan, including an evening parade from 18:00 to 19:30. The second phase listed the Yosakoi eve programme on 10 October and the 27th Tokyo Yosakoi on 11 October, with teams scheduled across several Toshima venues. These were four separate scheduled days, not a continuous run or a single timetable. October visitor information listed free viewing within a broad 10:30–20:00 range; individual venues had different programme sequences. The archive distinguishes stage performances, mikoshi and the multi-venue dance programme, with date-specific road, bus, taxi and pedestrian arrangements relevant to the original plan. Any future attendance depends on a newly published official programme, not these 2026 times.
Practical information
- Booking status
- This event has ended. Outdated ticket and booking guidance is hidden; check the official source for a future edition.
- Access
- Ikebukuro Station West Exit is the core arrival point. On 11 October, named venues also include areas around Otsuka and Sugamo. Use the official date-specific schedule and traffic notice: road closures can move bus stops, taxi access and pedestrian routes.
- Rain
- The Fukuro Matsuri page states the festival proceeds in rain, while schedules may still change. Check the current organizer notice before travel, especially for individual performances and traffic controls.
- Crowds
- Mikoshi parades and the main Yosakoi periods can produce dense crowds at the West Exit and along performance routes. Avoid planning tight transfers between distant venues.
Recommended for
Visitors who want either traditional mikoshi activity or large multi-team Yosakoi performances and are comfortable choosing a specific date, venue and viewing period.
Not recommended for
A poor fit for anyone expecting the same programme on all four dates, one venue-wide interval, or a fully documented accessibility plan for every street and satellite venue.
Nearby / itinerary
- Nearby spots
- The published 2026 venue plan centred on Ikebukuro West Exit, with areas around Otsuka and Sugamo also named for 11 October. This geographic context separates the West Exit grouping from the additional areas of the multi-venue programme; it does not establish a current festival-day route. Combining venues for any future festival visit would require a newly published official programme.
- Itinerary hint
- As historical itinerary context, the published 2026 plan had four different anchors: opening and stage events on 26 September, mikoshi on 27 September, the Yosakoi eve programme on 10 October, and the main multi-venue competition on 11 October. A day-and-venue plan would therefore have depended on that date’s programme and transport arrangements. This explains the archived plan rather than offering a current itinerary; future attendance requires newly published official dates, venue schedules and transport information.
