Flowers and Beasts: Colours and Forms
Flowers and Beasts explores how artists turn plants and animals into colour, shape and material. Paintings, sculpture and photography are distributed across Sapporo Art Museum, the outdoor sculpture garden, the Sato Churyo Children's Atelier and the former Arishima Takeo residence. The museum's artist list includes Mika Ninagawa and Atsushi Okada; Mio Hashimoto is represented at the Children's Atelier and Toshihiko Shibuya at the former residence. The separate settings let visitors compare gallery works with encounters around the wooded grounds.

- Take the Namboku subway to Makomanai, then Chuo Bus from stop 2. Use Geijutsu-no-Mori Iriguchi for the museum/former Arishima residence, or Geijutsu-no-Mori Center for the outdoor museum. The stops are about eight minutes apart on foot. The park quotes 17 minutes by subway from Sapporo and about 15 minutes onward by bus, excluding waiting/walking.
